Shipping Mid-Year Update: Growth, Innovation, and What Comes Next
In the fast-moving world of eCommerce logistics, staying still is not an option. At iShipping, the first half of 2025 has been a time of active listening, building, and refining — all with one clear goal: to help New Zealand-based online sellers ship smarter, cheaper, and faster.
As we reach the midpoint of the year, we’re proud to share the milestones we’ve achieved so far, and how they reflect our long-term mission to empower small and medium-sized eCommerce merchants across Aotearoa.
70% Growth in Orders — Built on Trust and Value
Over the past 12 months, the total number of orders processed through the iShipping platform has increased by over 70%. This growth reflects not just the market’s demand for better logistics solutions, but the trust our users place in us — and the results they’re seeing by making the switch.
Behind the scenes, this growth has been driven by one thing: listening closely to what our users need, and building solutions that deliver real, measurable improvements.
Expanding Courier Options with Smarter Shipping Tools
One of the most common requests we’ve heard from merchants is flexibility — not every parcel needs to arrive overnight, and not every courier fits every use case.
In response, we’ve rolled out several key shipping upgrades:
Aramex Now Available
Aramex is now fully integrated with the iShipping platform, offering a cost-effective alternative for domestic, non-urgent deliveries. It’s ideal for low-margin products or bulk shipments where price matters most.
Launch of NZ Post Oversize by Fliway
We’re proud to now support oversized parcels up to 3 metres in length or 60kg in weight, through NZ Post’s “Oversize by Fliway” service — previously only available to enterprise shippers. With iShipping, any merchant can now access this capability, directly from the dashboard.
Lower Inter-Island Shipping Costs
By working closely with NZ Post, we’ve secured reduced rates for cross-island deliveries — a major win for merchants looking to grow their reach beyond their home base. This change has already helped many of our users expand to the South Island or scale their reach to more remote towns.
Listening First: User Feedback That Drives Real Change
We believe the best product development starts with listening. That’s why we invested time into 20+ deep-dive interviews and thousands of behavioral data points across our platform.
These insights have directly shaped our roadmap, including:
• Improvements to the order import system, making auto-sync from platforms like Shopify and TradeMe even more seamless.
• Smarter courier comparisons, so users can make price vs. speed tradeoffs with a single glance.
• Backend optimizations to improve speed, reduce errors, and simplify the user experience.
Our product team is currently working on several follow-up iterations based on this feedback, and we’re always open to hearing more. Your success is what drives our next build.
Looking Ahead: Stronger Partnerships, Smarter Shipping
In the coming months, our focus remains clear:
• Continue negotiating the best rates with our courier partners.
• Launch new features that make bulk shipping faster and more intuitive.
• Help sellers spend less time on logistics, and more time on growing their business.
We’re also proud to be official partners of NZ Post, Aramex, and DHL, ensuring that our users have access to reliable, scalable infrastructure from day one.
Thank You for Growing with Us
We’re still a young platform — but we’re not new to listening, adapting, and delivering value. Whether you’ve been with us since the beginning or just discovered us last week, we want to thank you for being part of the journey.
Here’s to the second half of 2025 — and to helping more Kiwi sellers thrive in a world that moves faster every day.
