NZ Post, in collaboration with logistics partner Fliway, has introduced a new nationwide service for shipping oversized parcels. Designed for large and heavy items, the service supports packages up to 3 metres long, 60 kilograms, and 0.6 cubic metres in volume.
This solution, branded as Oversize by Fliway, was initially developed for large enterprise clients with high shipping volumes and dedicated system integrations. It is now available through the iShipping platform, making it accessible to small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) without technical barriers or minimum shipping requirements.
A Smarter Option for Bulky Shipments
Conventional courier networks often reject parcels that exceed weight or dimension thresholds. was designed to address these limitations, providing businesses with a reliable way to ship large-format products.
Every day use cases include furniture, fitness equipment, bulk goods, promotional displays, and intercity luggage. This service is ideal for businesses selling medium to large-sized products that standard express options cannot handle.

This service does not support perishables, liquids, hazardous materials, or freight that requires palletisation.
Nationwide Coverage with Reliable Delivery
Oversize by Fliway is available for deliveries across New Zealand, including urban, regional, and rural areas.

- Within island 2–3 business days
- Between island 3–5 business days
- Rural can take up an additional 2 business days
Shipments booked before 11:00 AM are generally eligible for same-day pickup. Collection is handled directly by Fliway drivers and is unavailable through standard NZ Post couriers or depot drop-offs.

Oversize by Fliway is not accessible through standard NZ Post online portals or prepaid label systems. It is exclusively available via the iShipping platform, where users can create labels, schedule pickups, and manage delivery progress through a single interface.
No technical setup or developer support is required to begin using the service. Any registered iShipping user — including SMEs and independent merchants — can book oversized shipments directly from their dashboard.
Tracking and Delivery Visibility
All deliveries booked through iShipping include real-time tracking updates. Status changes are automatically synced to the iShipping dashboard, and recipients receive email notifications directly from Fliway’s system. The default delivery mode does not require a signature, though proof-of-delivery photos are available. A signature-on-delivery option will be introduced in a future update.
Transparent Pricing with Instant Quotes
Pricing for Oversize by Fliway is fully transparent and calculated in real-time when booking through iShipping. Costs are based on parcel weight, size, and delivery destination. Rural surcharges are applied automatically if applicable. All charges are displayed before label confirmation, ensuring no hidden costs.
